TO CLAIM & RECLAIM
Why do we feel unworthy of the space we take up? What role does the subconscious play in creating barriers, both physical and imaginary? Who drew these barriers to begin with and who will erase them? In To Claim & Reclaim, Shannon Finnell and Kristi Cole focus on the original choreography and performance of the piece, IN MY PLACE, to create an abstract experimental video that can stand not as documentation, but as a work that furthers the exploration of boundaries and the act of unapologetically breaking and/or devouring them.
